inCTRL’s key personnel are leading experts in the field of aeration control for wastewater treatment, especially on ammonia-based aeration control (ABAC). inCTRL’s Leiv Rieger was awarded the 2015 WEF Eddy Wastewater Principles/Processes Medal for his paper “Ammonia-Based Feedforward and Feedback Aeration Control in Activated Sludge Processes” from the Water Environment Federation (WEF).

We develop world-leading simulation tools allowing us to perform in-depth analyses of your instrumentation and control systems. Our aeration model library  contains a suite of detailed fully dynamic models for blowers, pipes, fittings, valves, diffusers, etc. enabling us to design aeration control solutions tailored to your specific plant, load and temperature situation, and the installed equipment.

Our newest aeration control strategy, called ABAC-SRT, combines ammonia-based aeration control with sludge retention time (SRT) control and is patent-pending.
